Striking antique Italian gilt-wood wall mirror featuring two focal carvings: a serene lady’s face crowning the frame and a powerful lion head at the base, symbolizing grace and guardianship. Rich Baroque/Rococo scrolls and acanthus leaves sweep around a rectangular mirror, finished in aged gold over deep green.
Approx. 25" H x 12" W. Authentic age to the glass with light foxing and mild discoloration; gilt shows timeworn patina.
The back displays old wood and hardware, consistent with period construction.
